Hot riveting is a welding method that selectively heats thermoplastic rivet posts passing through preset holes of the component to be joined. After the rivet post melts, pressure is applied to form the rivet head, and the joint is kept clamped until the molten material cools and solidifies. This creates a secure mechanical bond between the thermoplastic and the mating component.
